LEAD MANAGEMENT
WHAT IS LEAD MANAGEMENT?
Lead Management is the application of Choice Theory to any situation where one’s responsibility is to manage others or lead change and performance. This could include managing senior leaders, workers, employees, students, participants or athletes. One important aspect of Lead Management is that the leader puts emphasis on intrinsic motivation by inspiring the workers with a clear vision, and explanation of the importance of the work. This concept was first developed by W. Edward Deming and later explained and further developed by Dr. William Glasser. Two key aspects of Lead Management are Conditions for Quality and the application of Reality Therapy to solve problems.
